THE HOMESTEAD

Stay in your own private Queenslander home sleeping up to 9 guests. The Homestead is fully furnished and very spacious with 3 Queen Bedrooms , a twin share bedroom and 1 single bed in a less private area, complete with an indoor and outdoor fire place, full kitchen and laundry facilities, two bathrooms and nearby dams for fishing, swimming and bird watching. Reverse A/C and Fans are situated throughout the Homestead.

Being the original homestead for Arcadia Valley it has a homely feel, so please don’t come expecting the Hilton. It’s spacious and clean with all the mod cons you need but it was built 70 odd years ago and has the appropriate ‘character’ associated with that. There’s also a great outdoor area with campfire and a hot coal BBQ. If you want to use the hot pot/camp oven during your visit (which I strongly recommend) bring a variety of vegetables such as potato, pumpkin, onion, carrots etc. You just don’t know how good veggies can taste until you’ve tried the hot pot.

RATES

$200 per night

This gets a group of up to 4 people the exclusive use of the house with room to accommodate an additional 5 guests at $25 per person per night.

SHEETS / BEDDING

No need to worry about bedding and towels, all is provided.

FOOD

Arcadia Valley Escape is a long way from the nearest grocery store so it’s important to stock up before you arrive.
The nearest food stores are in Injune or Rolleston around 90km away so this is something you don’t want to forget.
For a bit more variety Roma or Springsure might be a better bet to pick up your supplies.
All houses are equipped to store refrigerated and frozen goods.
